College Night

College Night is a one stop shop for students and parents to visit multiple institutions in one night. Colleges and Universities from across the state attend; Saginaw Valley State University, Lansing Community College, Ferris State University, Mid Michigan College, Northern Michigan University, Michigan State University, and the University of Michigan, just to name a few. It's a great opportunity for families to receive information, ask questions, and learn about what colleges and universities have to offer. This event is held every September at the Clinton County RESA Administration Building. Please check back as the date gets closer for more information.

Life Unplugged

Life Unplugged

Life Unplugged (LU) is an interactive, educational experience for young people that helps them envision what they want for their futures. Participants make decisions, learn financial literacy, and what it means to be an adult - the real world! Each local middle school utilizes this valuable resource and hosts an annual Life Unplugged event.

Xello

Xello is a college and career exploration planning tool designed for students in grades 7-12. It is used for students to search college and career options, and develop and Educational Development Plan (EDP).

Michigan Merit Exam or MME

Michigan Merit Examination is the State test that juniors across Michigan take each March. The MME is taken over a series of days and consists of three components:

  • College Board SAT
  • WorkKeys® job skills assessments in reading, mathematics, and "locating information"
  • Michigan-developed Science and Social Studies M-STEP

SAT

The SAT and SAT Subject Tests are designed to assess your academic readiness for college. These exams provide a path to opportunities, financial support, and scholarships. It is currently part of the Michigan Merit Exam.

PSAT

The redesigned SAT Suite of Assessments is an integrated system made up of these tests:

  • SAT
  • PSAT/NMSQT and PSAT 10
  • PSAT 8/9

The tests measure the same skills and knowledge in ways that make sense for different grade levels.
